Meet Alvin
Alvin Lim is a seasoned HR consultant and former Global Talent Attraction Lead at Dyson. He specialises in crafting Employer Value Propositions (EVPs), employee listening, and data-driven talent insights to drive digital transformation in HR, as well as full-spectrum EVP activation solutions across the entire talent lifecycle from sourcing, attraction, recruitment, engagement, retention and offboarding.

With over a decade of experience in building and leading diverse teams, Alvin specialises in crafting Employer Value Propositions (EVPs) for global organisations. His expertise lies in leveraging research-backed data to drive digital transformation, address recruitment challenges, and deliver exceptional candidate experiences.
Alvin has advised leadership teams of renowned global brands such as Lenovo, Nestlé, GlaxoSmithKline, Unilever, and Prudential. He is also a prominent contributor to Hacking HR and a founding member of its Experts Council, where he shares his insights and contributes to white papers on HR innovation and best practices.
Before moving in-house to Dyson at his last role, Alvin was the Head of Activation Solutions at Universum, where he played a key role in growing Universum’s capabilities and service offerings globally. He also previously served as the Director of the Southeast Asian Association of Graduate Employers (SEAAGE) for almost a decade.
Alvin graduated with a B.A. in Politics and Economics with Mathematics at the University of Melbourne, and is a valedictorian of NUS Business School’s Global HR Leaders Programme (HRLP) at the National University of Singapore.
A former journalist and ERP (NetSuite) tech consultant, Alvin’s career is marked by his commitment to creating genuine connections and his passion for reimagining traditional career pathways.
